Alternatively, if the temperature rises above 85 degrees, Spike's flames start to get bigger and more powerful to the point where simply using Super Peel-Out in the middle of a forest is a bad idea. If the temperature drops below 65 degrees, Spike's fire power starts to diminish, and if it gets too cold all he'll be able to do is puff up smoke. In average temperatures (between 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit), Spike can breathe fire in a steady stream, launch decent-sized fireballs, and his Spin Dash, Boost, & Super Peel-Out gain fire attributes. Spike is also able to breathe fire, but it's potency is dependent on his body temperature, which in turn is dependent on the environment's temperature. However, he can't turn while Spin Dashing, only being able to go in a straight line. Most notably, Spike's Spin Dash works like Sonic's when powered-up by a Pink Wisp without the need of the aforementioned alien's help he can stick to walls & ceilings and pierce even heavily armored obstacles or enemies with his Spin Dash (likewise, opponents can get caught on his spines). However, he has slight advantages in some areas and disadvantages in others. As you'd expect based on his design, Spike's abilities parallel Sonic's in various ways he can run very fast, Spin Dash, use Homing Attacks, and even perform the Super Peel-Out and Boost.
